Beech Fork State Park offers some of the best recreational opportunities in West Virginia’s southwestern region. Visitors to this 3,144-acre park can hike in the hills, watch birds, fish or take a boat out on Beech Fork Lake. The lake is a 720-acre reservoir, with 31 miles of shoreline. Located 12 miles south of Huntington and Barboursville, Beech Fork State Park is the perfect getaway for visitors from neighboring states and cities, like Cincinnati, Ohio and Lexington, Kentucky.

Policies

General Policy
Not more than 2 motor vehicles are permitted on a campsite at any time. A non-family camping group may have only one camping unit (tent, trailer, motor home, camper van, etc). A family camping group, at the discretion of the area superintendent, may be permitted to have 1 or 2 small tents on a campsite in addition to the main camping unit, but in no case may the additional units damage the campsite, this must be approved prior to set up. A family unit is defined as parents or guardians and their dependent children.
Written Cancellation Policy
Reservations cancelled at least 60 days prior to arrival may request a refund for the deposit paid. In the event the reservation is canceled within 60 days of arrival, the paid deposit will be refunded as customer credit for a future reservation, provided the guest notifies the State Park about the cancellation more than seven (7) days prior to the reservation date. Refunds will not be permitted for reservations cancelled within seven (7) days of arrival.
