Blackwater Falls State Park Electric Campsites

Located in the Allegheny Mountains of Tucker County, Blackwater Falls State Park is named for the amber waters of Blackwater Falls, a 62-foot cascade tinted by the tannic acid of fallen hemlock and red spruce needles. The falls, the main attraction of Blackwater Falls State Park, are accessible from steps and several viewing platforms that allow visitors to enjoy scenic views year-round. Blackwater Falls, and nearby Elakala Falls, Lindy Point and Pendleton Point Overlook, are some of the most photographed sites in West Virginia. The park offers lodging, and many outdoor recreational opportunities.

Policies

General Policy
Not more than 2 motor vehicles are permitted on a campsite at any time. A non-family camping group may have only one camping unit (tent, trailer, motor home, camper van, etc). A family camping group, at the discretion of the area superintendent, may be permitted to have 1 or 2 small tents on a campsite in addition to the main camping unit, but in no case may the additional units damage the campsite, this must be approved prior to set up. A family unit is defined as parents or guardians and their dependent children.
Written Cancellation Policy
Reservations cancelled at least 60 days prior to arrival may request a refund for the deposit paid. In the event the reservation is canceled within 60 days of arrival, the paid deposit will be refunded as customer credit for a future reservation, provided the guest notifies the State Park about the cancellation more than seven (7) days prior to the reservation date. Refunds will not be permitted for reservations cancelled within seven (7) days of arrival.

Other Policy
The bathhouse in the campground will be closed for the season November 1 - May 1. Portable toilets are the only facilities available during this time.
