Kumbrabow State Forest is a haven for nature lovers and photographers looking for a relaxing getaway. Go for a hike on one of Kumbrabow’s eight trails and take in the marvelous views of West Virginia’s mountain landscape. Enjoy a picnic at one of the forest’s picnic sites, equipped with tables, fireplaces, drinking water and toilet facilities. Kumbrabow also is an attractive destination for hunters and anglers. With a proper license, hunters may aim for deer, bear, turkey, bobcat and ruffed grouse. Fishing enthusiasts can enjoy Kumbrabow’s Mill Creek, a native brook trout stream.
Reservations cancelled at least 60 days prior to arrival may request a refund for the deposit paid. In the event the reservation is canceled within 60 days of arrival, the paid deposit will be refunded as customer credit for a future reservation, provided the guest notifies the State Park about the cancellation more than seven (7) days prior to the reservation date. Refunds will not be permitted for reservations cancelled within seven (7) days of arrival.

Pets Policy
Pets are welcome in designated pet-friendly cabins and lodge rooms for a onetime fee of $40 per stay. Dogs and cats are the only pets permitted in state parks and forests. Pets must be leashed and restrained.
Other Policy
Cabin guests will be provided one free bundle of firewood per night of stay, additional bundles can be purchased from the park office.
