Joe Branch Primitive Campground at Summersville Lake SP is just that, no water, no electricity, just nature at its finest. Snuggled in among the laurels along Joe Branch creek, you’ll find yourself submerged in nature and the forest. There is a bathhouse with two bathrooms, an outdoor sink for washing dishes and utensils, and an outdoor shower. Tent sites do not have parking on-site but there is a parking lot nearby.
West Virginia's newest state park encompasses 177 acres, overlooking the north shore of the beautiful Summersville Lake, the largest lake in West Virginia. At summer pool water level, it covers 2,790 acres, with over 60 miles of shoreline making it a boating and water sports paradise.
Reservations cancelled at least 60 days prior to arrival may request a refund for the deposit paid. In the event the reservation is canceled within 60 days of arrival, the paid deposit will be refunded as customer credit for a future reservation, provided the guest notifies the State Park about the cancellation more than seven (7) days prior to the reservation date. Refunds will not be permitted for reservations cancelled within seven (7) days of arrival.
